How would you describe your jewelry style?

While I do love jewelry, I’d have to say my style is less is more. I usually only wear a bracelet or two and simple earrings. If I am going out, I may then wear a statement piece (necklace, earrings etc.).

What jewelry trends are you noticing?

While I will forever be a fan of simple hoops, that’s not what is in right now. I am seeing tons of COLOR. Geometric shapes are back as well. My favorite trend right now would be bold cuffs.

What piece of yours means the most to you?

 My engagement ring and wedding band (which of course came from Donald Haack Diamonds). I just got married two weeks ago. These pieces stand for the love my husband and I have for each other and for our children. These rings are very special to me and to my family for what they stand for.

If a jewelry genie appeared and granted you one item from Donald Haack’s website, what would you pick?

It’s practically impossible to choose just one item! I love the simplicity of the eternity bands but if I was going for a more of a statement piece, I’d have to say the colored diamond sliver ring, which of course, then I’d have to have the matching pendant. See, I can’t choose one.

As a recent bride (congrats!) how did you accessorize for your big day?

You won’t believe it. It was SOOOO simple. I remembered everything for my big day except for the jewelry. I left mine at home! My cousin took off her diamond earrings and I wore those….that was it! That was my “something borrowed”. I am having a second ceremony in December — I’ll be more prepared then!

What’s your birthstone? Do you wear it?

Blue Topaz. I don’t think I own any pieces with my birthstone.

Silver or gold?

 Last year I would have said silver. I’ve been gravitating to gold lately.

Studs or hoops? 

 Hoops.
