Donald Haack Diamonds to Top Carolina Voices' Singing Christmas Tree with Charm at Holiday Open House – Dec. 2

Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems will usher in the holiday season with an Open House on Thursday, Dec. 2 from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and the presentation of the commemorative "2010 Christmas Tree Charm" that will benefit the 56th Annual "Singing Christmas Tree."  The event will also feature a 6:00 p.m. performance by David Tang, artistic director of Carolina Voices and a group of singers from this year’s "Singing Christmas Tree." The Open House will take place at Donald Haack Diamonds located at 4611 Sharon Road, across from SouthPark.

"Supporting David Tang and his artistic endeavors and performances has been part of a long-standing tradition for us. We have created a second commemorative 'Christmas Tree Charm' for this spectacular show," said Julie Haack, president of Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems. "This one-of-a-kind charm celebrates the holidays, supports a worthy cause and gives attendees a beautiful keepsake to make part of their holiday tradition."

The abstract, silver "Christmas Tree Charm" – created by Donald Haack Diamonds’ goldsmith Robbie Fowler – costs $20 and a percentage of the proceeds will go to supporting David Tang’s “Singing Christmas Tree” and Carolina Voices. The exclusive charm can be purchased at Donald Haack Diamonds Dec. 2-4 and at the 56th Annual “Singing Christmas Tree” on Dec. 4 and 5.

About Carolina Voices and the “The Singing Christmas Tree”
Carolina Voices was founded in 1953 as the Charlotte Choral Society, producers of the first “Singing Christmas Tree” production in the United States.  The organization changed its name to Carolina Voices in 2000 to better reflect the diverse community it serves. Governed by a Board of Directors, Carolina Voices is an umbrella organization for four distinct choral groups totaling more than 100 volunteer singers. Membership is by audition, with rehearsals and performances year-round. Through Carolina Voices, Charlotte audiences are presented affordable, quality choral music in a variety of styles, from a cappella to jazz, as well as educational and outreach programs that are accessible to the entire community.
