Julie Haack, president of Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems (www.donaldhaack.com) has been invited to serve on the Queens University of Charlotte McColl School Board of Visitors. The McColl School Board of Visitors meets semi-annually to review, discuss, and support important initiatives, particularly related to the school's focus on leadership development, built upon the three C's model of Competence, Character and Commitment to Community.

In addition to the McColl School Board of Visitors, Haack serves on the Better Business Bureau board of directors and the board of directors of the Charlotte Steeplechase Association, Inc., which produces the Queen's Cup Steeplechase. She also serves on the organizing committee for the Charlotte Regional Ethics in Business Award.

Haack was honored with the "Elaine Creasser National Christian Business Woman's Award" from the Women's Initiative Network (WIN) and along with the entire Donald Haack Diamonds & Fine Gems team, received the 2007 Charlotte Ethics in Business Award and the national 2007 American Business Ethics Award.
