Appraisals
Since 1981 we have provided expert jewelry appraisals. Our on-staff GIA Certified Gemologists grade every diamond we select adhering to strict GIA (Gemological Institute of America) standards.
Updating your appraisals on a regular basis helps protect your assets by insuring that your jewelry is properly valued, should it be lost or stolen.
Appraisal Pricing:
Donald Haack Diamonds (DHD) provides complementary appraisals for items that have been purchased from us within the last ten years (after 10 years updates to appraisals will be $50 per item). Items NOT purchased from DHD will be subject to an appraisal fee of $100 for the first item, and $80 for any subsequent item (while it is rare, there are exceptions to this pricing structure that may include overly complex pieces that have many gemstones etc.).

With objectivity and expertise as its hallmarks, GIA ensures the integrity and accuracy of every report it issues. GIA tests every material submitted to determine whether it is natural or not, and discloses any known treatments discovered during analysis. Read more here.
